Kungsleden (King’s way)

July 2019 I went on another hike in Sweden, this time together with Poptart, Bollocks and Cream, whom I met on the PCT

The Kungsleden is a famous 440-kilometer (270-mile) trail in northern Sweden, stretching from Abisko to Hemavan. It offers stunning views of mountains, forests, glaciers, and lakes, with a mix of moderate to challenging terrain.

The most popular section is from Abisko to Nikkaluokta, typically hiked in 5-7 days.
There are well-maintained huts along the route, but wild camping is allowed.

The best time to hike is between late June and September, and hikers may spot wildlife like reindeer and moose. It’s a beautiful, remote wilderness experience for nature lovers.
