Pacific Crest Trail

This post was written in Danish in August 2017 and later translated into English. Only the language changed.

I should definitely get a hiking tattoo, I thought – and of course I should …
or I do not know if it goes without saying, but of course I should 😉

When I get home from my hike I want the Pacific Crest Trail logo itself tattooed, as a reminder of my win.
At first I thought about getting it done straight away, so it would be properly healed by the time I left.

But how rubbish would it be to walk around with one of those if I have to abandon the hike partway through?
Then I have a tattoo reminding me of a defeat every time I stare at it (even if it is going on my calf, where I am not staring constantly)

So it is getting done when I come home again – totally grown-up and well thought through 😉

BUUUUT I have come up with something else that is just as cool (maybe even cooler)

I have some tattoos of little figures that mostly look like potatoes with matchsticks stuck in them, drawn by a child.

Anyway, I got in touch with Denis who drew them, and asked him whether he could do a drawing in the same style, just as a backpacker.

He could, and he was really up for it 🙂

So here is the newest member of the family: my very own personal hiking tattoo / mascot:

Gear: the full setup I carried on the PCT is on the PCT 2018 gear list.

Stay on the same line
