Continental Devide Trail (CDT)
The CDT is a United States National Scenic Trail running 3,100 miles (5,000 km) between Mexico and Canada. It follows the Continental Divide of the Americas along the Rocky Mountains and traverses five U.S. states — Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.
This will be in 2021 if everything turns out ok. I still have to save up enough money while still hiking the other trails on my wish list.
As long distance hiking can be quite expensive – I still have to pay my bills, rent etc. at home while I’m away and hiking a long distance hike like the CDT will take just about 5 months so it will require a lot of saving. After completing the PCT in 2018, Im pretty confident that I can do the CDT in about the same amount of time, even though it is 500 miles longer. I don’t think I will need that many zeros again, and hopefully my hikes leading up to this, have made me able to do 25+ miles a day from the get go.
This will definitely be a trip where I will be making videos! 🙂 just thinking about how crazy the trail is, makes it something that begs for videos and a TON of pictures 🙂 but we’re still so far away from this being a reality that I cannot get to excited now 🙂
